VS2008 addin does not appear on some machines and does not seem to do anything on others?

Hi
Sorry if I have missed the documentation on this addin but I have looked. I'm really keen to use this app but I'm having lots of problems.

VS2008 addin does not appear on some machines and does not seem to do anything on others on right click?  Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this to work?

Thanks for any help.

I had to customize my context menu to add it

Right click a toolbar
Customize
Toolbars tab
Tick "Context Menus"
Menus toolbar appears
Drop Project/Solution menu
Open Items submenu
In commands tab of customize window
In addins subcat
drag Xsd2Code onto open context menu

Please, upgrade to V2.8.4 which should fix many deployment issues

2.8.4 does not fix the problem on x64.  See issue #7358

Also, cjard mentioned manual steps, but the add-in doesnt even appear in the list after installing on x64!  so, no solution there.

Hi All,

I had this problem and after working through the following troubleshooting guide...

http://www.mztools.com/articles/2007/MZ2007009.aspx

Re-installing MSXML6 fixed it for me...

I had the problem that xsd2code did not appear in the context menu after some trouble with Visual Studio. Uninstall/Install would not fix the issue. So thanks for this amazing solution.

This may be abit late, but I was having the same issue as "roachslayer" - even when trying the manual steps. However, I went ahead and searched through the entire list of addins, and found XSD2Code is under "r" for Run XSD2Code..."

use version 3.3 beta 3 for x64 installation.
